Bonjour, hello! I’m Holy, a Registered psychotherapist (Qualifying). I am passionate about helping youth and adults navigate mental health challenges, strengthen relationships, and foster personal growth. I strive to provide a safe space where others can feel heard, understood and empowered to face and overcome challenges in their lives.
I aim to adopt a person-centered, integrative and culturally responsive approach in therapy, drawing from a humanistic and cognitive-behavioural perspective while recognizing the impact of identity, background and lived experiences on mental health. I strive to adopt an evidence based approach, while tailor my interventions to clients’ unique demands and needs. Acknowledging the importance of a healthy connection with others, I am also interested in working in relationship dynamics and couples therapy.
Having personally experienced the complexity of cultural identity and adaptation, I am particularly passionate about working with African communities, immigrants and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds providing culturally sensitive care.
With a background in psychology as well as research on gratitude and coping strategies, I am also committed to collaborating with clients in order to foster resilience, emotional regulation, and self awareness to optimize overall well-being.

Angela is a Registered Social Worker and a Dalhousie University graduate with a master’s degree in social work.
Sometimes children and youth do not have the words or language to explain their feelings or understand what their feelings are indicating. This can make communication with adults in their lives difficult, challenging and strained. Sometimes leading to emotional outbursts, and poor choices when communicating with one another.
I use a family centered, solution focused approach to help them identify the feelings they are having, how to express them in a way that communicates their needs, is heard and understood and is focused on the creation of strong age or child/youth appropriate communication techniques.
